I updated the dictionary with more words. I have been keeping a keen eye out for news articles that use the words, but only since the site has come back up have I not been inundated with them. Oh well, I will find some eventually.

Okay, I’ve added a bunch of more pictures into the dictionary, finishing out the majority. I still need to find a few more here and there, but otherwise it’s looking good. I have some words I am going to add in a little bit, once I think up clever definitions.

Anyway, more updates to follow.

Well I got a few submissions yesterday, so I’ve added all those words to the dictionary. My friend was remarking I am missing a lot of words, but I chalk that up to the few year hiatus the site was on. Anyways:

Have all been added to the dictionary.

I also fixed a link issue with the D section of the contents page, and added all the newest words to the random word that shows up on that page.

Okay, I added the remainder of my photoshopped pictures up on their respective entries. We’re into the middle of ‘P’ now, and I should be able to finish the rest shortly. I installed a neat program to track visits, and now I am working on incorporating it into the site. I think the site is almost ready for me to begin spamming my coworkers and friends with links to it in order to get word submissions.

Update — I’ve added more pictures, moving through ‘S’ now. I am going to work on some features for the ADHD peeps now.

Well I had a free few moments here and there, so I signed the site up for a twitter account and added it to the sidebar. I figure I will toss upcoming words and ideas in there to keep things moving. Once I get a second visitor, he or she is going to be PSYCHED at how many features this site has.

I have updated the navigation for the dictionary. It’s still being worked on, but I wanted to show the progress. I am working on adjusting the front page of the dictionary currently. More updates to follow.

Update 2:19pm — I have completed my current work on the main page and navigation. It’s still not where I’d like it to be, but my brain is fried from HTML editing. I will continue to look at making it even better.

Okay, the great reorganization began today. I know it’s all backend, so you can’t see the progress yet, but I’ve split the dictionary up and I am going to improve the navigation of it. If I have time I will finish it up today, but I can’t make any promises, as I am going to look around for navigation plugins for a bit.

It’ll be worth it, I promise.

I have photoshopped a ton more pictures, however Wordpress caught fire and died when I tried to update the page. I think I’ve reached some sort of theoretical maximum page size with the A-M dictionary entry, so in the meantime I am going to be splitting up the dictionary into smaller and more manageable chunks.

I will try to “fix” it by doing some database stuff, so for the one person following this site (me), be ready for things to break.

I added more pictures to the dictionary. I am slowly making my way through A-M so far, and I am somewhere in the Gs. I need to Photoshop more images for words and sort through some Wordpress glitches. I am also likely going to break up the dictionary further, since it’s kind of unwieldy at this point and I anticipate the pages collapsing like a neutron star every time I click ‘update page’.

Okay, I added a post rating system, this will allow people to vote on words before added.

And lastly for today, I added a social networking link for posts. More to come later.
